Sketches

Some quick sketches before sleep!

It's the 2nd day of September. Today I had been trying new ways to animate game sprites for the Space Brothel game. I had these options:

1. Motion Tracking, After Effects - Pros: Good realistic animation, Can use detailed raster illustrations. Cons: Very tedious work flow. Limited export file types. Relies on tracing which kind of impairs drawing skills.

2. Manual Animation, After Effects - +: Good animation, painted raster images. -: Very hard to animate each part due to parts being inside a million folders to access.

3. Puppet Animation, After Effects - +: Easy to do and has the AE advantages. Good choice if I can master this. -: Export formats.

4. Raster Images, Flash - +: Good graphics. -: High file size.

Decisions so far: Try option 3 and 4 some more. If i can't do something substantial before mid-September, stick to 'do-everything-inside-flash' method as I always do. Or, fellow artists, I am welcoming your suggestions. Non-artists who might have some input, you are welcome as well.

Good night and thanks for supporting Hornblase!
